International Yoga Day 2026 Celebrated at BHU Trauma Centre

The BHU Trauma Centre celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and participation on 21 June 2026. This year's global theme, "Yoga for Healthy Ageing," highlighted the importance of yoga in promoting healthy and active ageing. The programme commenced with a morning yoga session in which doctors, nursing staff, kitchen staff, sanitary workers, MTS personnel, and members from various departments of the Trauma Centre participated enthusiastically. Participants performed a series of yoga asanas and pranayama, making the event both inspiring and successful. The yoga session was organized under the guidance of Prof. Saurabh Singh and was conducted by yoga instructor Ms. Garima, who led participants through various yoga practices aimed at improving physical fitness, mental well-being, and overall health. Speaking on the occasion, the organizers emphasized that yoga is not merely a form of exercise but a holistic way of life that promotes a healthy body, a calm mind, and emotional balance. The observance of International Yoga Day reaffirmed the Trauma Centre's commitment to encouraging wellness and healthy living among healthcare professionals and staff.
